Let us prove 'Einstein' wrong!

Earlier I titled this article as "Yes! Those generations have come!!". Later I felt the new title fits better. The article is written inline with the old title, it may need to be rewritten to suit the new title!!
Theory of relativity, mass-energy equivalence, photo elects effect, atom bombs, politics, God, ..., and what not?? history proved many times that the synonym for genius and intelligence, Einstein, was never wrong. But did anybody test whether he was right or wrong in saying about Gandhijee, (on the occasion of Mahatma's 70th birthday in 1939),"A leader of his people ...... Generations to come, it may be, will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked on this earth."
I can confirmedly tell that he is not wrong this time too. On this October 2nd, the current generation has got a golden opp to prove that Einstein is not wrong. For them, Oct 2 is more a no-non-veg-and-no-liquor-day than birth day of the Father of the Nation. This Oct 2 was a coincidence with Vijaya Dasami festival and some sections can not survive without non-veg and liquor on a festive day. Their brains worked more accurately than ever: they purchased liquor the day before (as all liquor shops should be closed as per the law) or the shopwallas opened separate secret counters!! In my native place, they were even smarter. They exploited a hole in the law which bans selling meat but not the live chicks and birds! I don't say that eating meat is anyway related to following Gandhi's principles. If you act so smartly for those petty things and break the law, you are mis-respecting that Great Soul in one or the other form.

There are two very important things to be noted here: 1) Accept & believe in the power of Gandhism and appreciate this saint's efforts towards India's freedom 2) Follow the principles stated by Gandhism. The second one demands tonnes of courage and commitment from you, but you need only common sense and honest impartial observation for the first one. If you really do the first one, then only you can pass the Gandhian values (at least in theory) to younger generations, otherwise contribute to the masses that are busy with proving Einstein right.

What the masses that wont bother about (1) feel @ Gandhi? An interesting question. I see majority of them criticizing Gandhi and abusing Him with their limited knowledge and short mindedness. As this crowd is large in size, it does not take much time for those generations to come. In some form, those generations have already come! I often come across three arguments from such people 1) Non-violence is stupid 2) Freedom is delayed because of Gandhijee 3) He was in favour of muslims 4) anything else?

  1. One young colleague of mine (called Dumbu...ping me for his orkut profile) thinks that non violence is stupid. He goes to the extent of addressing Gandhijee with all irrespective wods he has in his dictionary. I wonder whether he ever put enough thought regd Is non-violence really stupid? Do we really achieve everything with violence? The answer is a BIG NO!! Non-violence is not something Gandhi designed in his room!! It is there for ages! We see its power in Vedas, Ramayana, Mahabhartha, Jesus History, ....What not? Non-violence is the power of poor. Even it seems that weak people can only follow non-violence, it needs some extraordinary thinking (yes! really) to realize that only strong (in fact, very strong) people can follow this path. What a beautiful and powerful message these words have an eye for eye can only make this world blind and achieve nothing more ..nothing less! Can the poor masses of India really dare enough to fight the all powerful British? 'No' right? They cant survive doing that. Gandhijee showed the power of non-violence first in Champaran of Bihar and again many times during freedom struggle. If you can't believe, ask Martin Luther King or Nelson Mandela or Desmond Tutu. If you can't believe still, refer to Vidura Neethi of Mahabhagavatham. Vidura Neethi is one of the priceless gems of that great epic. Violence achieves nothing. What naxalites are doing for the past 50+ years? Nothing..they achieve nothing in next 10 power 6 years also!! Gandhism is the best solution to the problems in west Asia also, the conflict never ends if Hizbulla involves in guerilla attacks and Israel reacts. Gandhijee showed perfect God-like qualities in action. We could see what ever that existed in theory in all Vedas, Mahabharatha, Ramayana executed by this saint. Entire world was shocked to see a freedom fight without violence!!
  2. Was freedom really delayed because of Gandhijee? See! Foreigners' invasion of India started sometime in 1600s. Gandhijee came back to India from SouthAfrica in 1915. Nothing happened in these 315 years!! But what happened in next 32 years was a history!!! Even if we assume that there was some delay, does it really matter? For that simple reason alone, can we really zero all his great achievements?
  3. Hindus and Muslims are like two eyes to Indian society. Whether anybody agrees or not, India's development is purely dependent on development of both the communities. Gandhijee knows this better than anybody else. If one religion attacks the other, shall we ask them to take revenge or keep calm in true interests of the country? People with short-mindedness can never
  4. (really never) understand the greatness and vastness of Gandhi's views. This bad image to the great saint is all because of BJP, RSS and Bajarang Dal. These parties always claim lives of innocent muslims for the activities of some useless people from the same community. Yes, I agree that all terrorists in India are muslims, but can we say that all muslims are terrorists? But those parties can say that. Instead of killing many innocents in elsewhere in India, they can go to Jammu Kashmir and kill all islamic terrorists. Just look at the recent affairs. BJP celebrated Vandematarm's 100 year celebration (am i right?) like anything, just because there exists some controversy with muslims. Why they don't have same spirit to celebrate Sathagraha's 160 year celebrations? There is no controversy involved there which gets them some votes. Did they participate in Dandi March's 100 year celebrations? Gandhijee is a stronger devotee towards Lord Rama than all useless fellow of these parties who never leave a chance to cash on the Ayodhya issue.
These days it became a fashion in younger generations to abuse Gandhijee for useless reasons. I really don't know whether Gandhijee did any mistakes during freedom struggle. For God's sake, respect His sacrifice, untiring efforts towards our freedom struggle. This thin man at the age of 70, went to a communal riot-hit village in West Bengal and observed fasting when rest of India was celebrating freedom. Cant this single reason enough to bow our heads at the feet of this Great saint? How much confidence one needs to say My life is my message?

Last words: Just observe Lord Krishna's message in BhagavthGeeta Anthyakaalecha maameva smaran mukthwa kalebaram.. (those who chant My name during last moments, they reach Me). No doubt Gandhijee merged with Lord SriRama, you might be knowing His final famous words Hey! Ram!! So becareful when you try to put some -ve comment on him!!

A Plea for Action: Whoever reads this blog, please involve in my movement to prove Einstein wrong. Our future generations desperately need Gandhian principles and his message. They need more than what our ancestors needed 100 years back!!

The failure of a successful democracy- part I (Another comedy show by this jungle aadmi)

The world calls it a successful democracy. The world labels it as the largest democratic country in the world. But the ground reality is the politicians, selfish bureaucrats successfully made the democracy a big failure. The democracy appears only in the constitution, our honorable leaders(!) speeches and news paper notes. The recent following comedy may be one of the latest proofs for it.

He is back. He is back with all his chamchaas and jungle aadmi. He made another comedy show in his own town Siddipet. In the name of "Samara Sankharaavam", KCR declared samaram on his own telangana people. This meeting was so unorganized that all the chamchas who came to the meeting left their vehicles: buses, lorries, jeeps on the hyd-karimnagar high way road itself. As a result, there was a 4-hour traffic jam. The bus we were traveling in, took 4 hrs to clear just a 3 km distance. The usual 3 hour non-stop service from jubilee bus stand (sec'bad) to karimanagar took 7 hrs. All the ladies, children, old people experienced the hell with all the above chamchas, kcr and his other idiots looked like demons in the hell. Lot of people traveling to karimanagar to write the next day's DSC exam were the worst suffered people. How can anybody undergo such a torture just the previous night when he is expected to go to the exam fresh the next day?
But nobody cared. The chamchas after the meeting didn't care the needs of these innocents but tried to leave the place first. They are more interested in going their homes first! One useless fellow (TRS leader of >100 chamchas) was forcing the police to clear his convoy of jeeps than giving a way to all the passer-bys. It is because of such useless selfish idiots, the word "Telangana" became a comedy everywhere.
But who cares? The media didn't have any time to look into it. The leaders KCR and his chamchas were in high spirits and moods as the success of the meeting can be used to easily cover his party's pathetic performance in recent elections. In such a successful(!!) democracy, it is damn easy to bring lakhs of people to any political meeting as long as you can afford a 100/- note and a biryani to the illiterate, innocent participants and beers, wines to the leaders who brought them.
In that meeting, some idiots called KCR as another Mahatma!!! oh! My God!! This country has so much freedom of speech that it was never used for constructive purposes after Jan 30, 1948 (the day the Father of the Nation rested in peace).

A useless fellow who can never finish a statement/speech with proper language (KCR's dictionary: Kabadaar, kulukuthunnara?, kojja, champutha, raktham paaristha, thamasha choopistha) , who was caught in some severe cheating case some time back (as per another minister in AP cabinet), who was summoned to a court on the charges of cheating the candidates during elections, is a big leader in this successful democracy!!

Drivining in India

This hilarious article was written by a Dutchman who spent two years in Hyderabad, India, as a visiting expert. My only contribution to this article is a Ctrl-C + Ctrl-V.

For the benefit of every Tom, Dick and Harry visiting India and daring to drive on Indian roads, I am offering a few hints for survival. They are applicable to every place in India except Bihar, where life outside a vehicle is only marginally safer.

Indian road rules broadly operate within the domain of karma where you do your best, and leave the results to your insurance company. The hints are as follows: Do we drive on the left or right of the road? The answer is "both". Basically you start on the left of the road, unless it is occupied. In that case, go to the right, unless that is also occupied.

Then proceed by occupying the next available gap, as in chess. Just trust your instincts, ascertain the direction, and proceed. Adherence to road rules leads to much misery and occasional fatality. Most drivers don't drive, but just aim their vehicles in the generally intended direction.

Don't you get discouraged or underestimate yourself except for a belief in reincarnation; the other drivers are not in any better position. Don't stop at pedestrian crossings just because some fool wants to cross the road. You may do so only if you enjoy being bumped in the back.

Pedestrians have been strictly instructed to cross only when traffic is moving slowly or has come to a dead stop because some minister is in town. Still some idiot may try to wade across, but then, let us not talk ill of the dead.

Blowing your horn is not a sign of protest as in some countries. We horn to express joy, resentment, frustration, romance and bare lust (two brisk blasts), or just mobilize a dozing cow in the middle of the bazaar. Keep informative books in the glove compartment. You may read them during traffic jams, while awaiting the chief minister's motorcade, or waiting for the rainwaters to recede when overground traffic meets underground drainage.

Occasionally you might see what looks like a UFO with blinking colored lights and weird sounds emanating from within. This is an illuminated bus, full of happy pilgrims singing bhajans. These pilgrims go at breakneck speed, seeking contact with the Almighty, often meeting with success.

Auto Rickshaw (Baby Taxi): The result of a collision between a rickshaw and an automobile, this three-wheeled vehicle works on an external combustion engine that runs on a mixture of kerosene oil and creosote. This triangular vehicle carries iron rods, gas cylinders or passengers three times its weight and dimension, at an unspecified fare. After careful geometric calculations, children are folded and packed into these auto rickshaws until some children in the periphery are not in contact with the vehicle at all. Then their school bags are pushed into the microscopic gaps all round so those minor collisions with other vehicles on the road cause no permanent damage. Of course, the peripheral children are charged half the fare and also learn Newton's laws of motion enroute to school. Auto-rickshaw drivers follow the road rules depicted in the film Ben Hur, and are licensed to irritate.

Mopeds: The moped looks like an oil tin on wheels and makes noise like an electric shaver. It runs 30 miles on a teaspoon of petrol and travels at break-bottom speed. As the sides of the road are too rough for a ride, the moped drivers tend to drive in the middle of the road; they would rather drive under heavier vehicles instead of around them and are often "mopped" off the tarmac.

Leaning Tower of Passes: Most bus passengers are given free passes and during rush hours, there is absolute mayhem. There are passengers hanging off other passengers, who in turn hang off the railings and the overloaded bus leans dangerously, defying laws of gravity but obeying laws of surface tension. As drivers get paid for overload (so many Rupees per kg of passenger), no questions are ever asked. Steer clear of these buses by a width of three passengers.

One-way Street: These boards are put up by traffic people to add jest in their otherwise drab lives. Don't stick to the literal meaning and proceed in one direction. In metaphysical terms, it means that you cannot proceed in two directions at once. So drive as you like, in reverse throughout, if you are the fussy type. Least I sound hypercritical, I must add a positive point also. Rash and fast driving in residential areas has been prevented by providing a "speed breaker"; two for each house. This mound, incidentally, covers the water and drainage pipes for that residence and is left untarred for easy identification by the corporation authorities, should they want to recover the pipe for year-end accounting.

Night driving on Indian roads can be an exhilarating experience for those with the mental make up of Ghenghis Khan. In a way, it is like playing Russian roulette, because you do not know who amongst the drivers is loaded. What looks like premature dawn on the horizon turns out to be a truck attempting a speed record. On encountering it, just pull partly into the field adjoining the road until the phenomenon passes.

Our roads do not have shoulders, but occasional boulders. Do not blink your lights expecting reciprocation. The only dim thing in the truck is the driver, and with the peg of illicit arrack (alcohol) he has had at the last stop, his total cerebral functions add up to little more than a naught. Truck drivers are the James Bonds of India, and are licensed to kill. Often you may encounter a single powerful beam of light about six feet above the ground. This is not a super motorbike, but a truck approaching you with a single light on, usually the left one. It could be the right one, but never get too close to investigate. You may prove your point posthumously. Of course, all this occurs at night on the trunk roads.

During the daytime, trucks are more visible, except that the drivers will never show any Signal. (And you must watch for the absent signals; they are the greater threat). Only, you will often observe that the cleaner who sits next to the driver, will project his hand and wave hysterically. This is definitely not to be construed as a signal for a left turn. The waving is just a statement of physical relief on a hot day. If, after all this, you still want to drive in India, have your lessons between 8 pm and 11 am-when the police have gone home and - The citizen is then free to enjoy the 'FREEDOM OF SPEED' enshrined in the constitution.

Having said all this, isn't it true that the accident rate and related deaths are less in India compared to US or other countries!!??

Only one service from "CellOne"

Yes! only one service from CellOne!! that is no service. CellOne has become the junkest service in India. Even though it is popular and signal is available everywhere, it is not recommended for several reasons.
  1. Ur fone detects full signal almost everywhere, but connection quality is poor. Ur call may get disconnected at any time. U will unnecessarily run into paying for what you do not use. Let me repeat, this happens all the time.
  2. It is expensive. For prepaid users, u r charged around 1.20/- per call maxi, where as other providers charge as mini as 49/-. Per month maitenance is very cheap/negligible with other providers. For BSNL, u have to spend 350+ at least.
  3. Call center support is a hell. If u have some doubts on some issues, better dont call them. They themselves dont know!! When i called them for GPRS stuff, they gave 3 different tariffs 3 times i called them. There was no rental for prepaid users, but some idiot was saying it as 50/- per month. GPRS activation has run me into hell two weeks back. It says my GPRS is activated, it sends some profiles, but it wont work. I spent a lot of time figuring out the problems. They dont send u complete gprs profile onto ur fone OR what they send wont work. They wont give u the complete procedure to be followed. Above all, u get "Data center not available" error most of the times.
  4. Connecting to call center will be a nightmare for u. I called at least 30 times to get the success. They repeat only one non-sense voice which says "Ur call is important to us..", but after 1 minute, ur call gets disconnected automatically. This happens repeatedly until luck hugs u!!
  5. The only plus with cellone is cheaper roaming charges.
I took 1 year card for 3k. I will go for another service immediately my talktime is over.

Yes! Its NOT about the bike..!!

At last I finished reading the book Lance Armstrong's Its not about the Bike: My Journey Back to Life few weeks back. Reading the book itself was a Tour De France for me. It took at least 2 months to finish. I used to read the book only during travels: either my 30-45 min. journey to my office daily in cab OR to my native place every couple of weeks.
It is inspiring to find Lance getting benefited from Cancer!! The most valuable paragraph from the book is: "If you ask me to choose between a cancer or winning Tour De France, I will choose cancer. ..." We need tonnes of courage and some divine characteristics to learn and draw something from miserable situations of life.

Hats off to Lance!!

Pranaams to my Great Gurujee

Pujya Gurujee Paramhansa Yogananda!
Let my first blog be about the great Guru whose teachings I love a lot. I first came to know about this great soul from His famous book Autobiography of a Yogi. To be honest, this book was more than the BhagavathGeetha to me thanks to lot of things I learnt from it. I learnt what great things one can achieve by constant, regular practice of meditation and other dhyana techniques. I hope this book should be your first reading in your who am I? search. But read the book with devotion, with all-positive-and-no-negative attitude. Read till the end without any -ve questions and doubts. Then only you can realize how much powerful this book can be for you.
I joined in Yogoda Satanga Society of India Lessons (http://yssofindia.org/index.htm) almost immediately. I am fully motivated to read the lessons and follow everything present. I was little bit on right track when I was at IITM, but thanks to natural human's inertia-towards-good-things, I have been doing it only partially (not doing at all, to be frank) after getting job. But I hope to come up and go back onto the track soon. I have Gurujee's blessings towards my efforts!.
